In January 2023, a staff member stole $100 from a resident who was not reimbursed for over two weeks. While the nursing home did phone the police about the incident, the resident declined to press charges. 

Another individual did not receive all the therapies recommended by their physician, which included occupational therapy for muscle contractions and spasms.  

The resident’s power of attorney had to look outside of the facility for treatment options as the occupational therapist at Manzano del Sol insisted that the resident’s condition did not enable them to improve her range of motion. 

Another complaint regarding poor documentation for a resident’s tube feedings was included in the January 2023 report, which could have led to the individual’s development of malnutrition due to miscommunication. 

A March 2022 report found that the facility did not ensure every resident could review recent survey results, meaning they were unaware of grievances and could not provide feedback.
