Joe Musso

Joe Musso is the Chair of Ashcraft & Gerel’s Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect Litigation Department. He has devoted his entire career to holding nursing homes and assisted living facilities responsible for the abuse and neglect of the elderly.

Mr. Musso has been a pioneer in nursing home abuse and neglect litigation for two decades. He speaks throughout the nation on issues of elder abuse and neglect. He educates families on how to identify and prevent abuse and neglect and teaches other attorneys in seminars and conferences on how to properly prosecute abuse and neglect claims. He is the Chair of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Long Term Care Section. 

He is a member of the Maryland Association of Justice Nursing Home Litigation Group, the American Association Of Justice Nursing Home Litigation Group, and is a Board of Governor’s member of the District of Columbia Trial Lawyers Association.

In addition to advocating on behalf of abused and neglected elders and their families, Mr. Musso is a member of the National Consumer Voice, the leading advocacy organization for the protection of the institutionalized elderly. 

A tireless advocate for the elderly, Mr. Musso has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of nursing home residents and their families. He has successfully handled every conceivable nursing home neglect claim including cases against the very largest nursing home and assisted living chains in America.
